Sales and Marketing Strategy on a tight Budget

Jamie, a founding director of AcumenEdge, started his management career in the Royal Navy as a Navigating Officer on a Short Service Commission. That was followed by extensive sales training, development, and sales management in Financial Services, Retail, Electronics, and Software. Jamie has experience in all channels to market having utilised Resellers, VARS, OEM’s as well as directing field and telesales teams.

His extensive SME experience has covered running a US NASDAQ company’s European HQ, Sales Director of Iomart, an AIM quoted company and successfully completing a “turnaround” operation with Teledata that was subsequently sold to Scottish Telecom (THUS).

Jamie has worked with an extensive range of customers including Disneyland Paris, the COI (for the flotation of BT3), Peugeot, the DVLA, NTL, Admiral Insurance Services, the French Consulate and The Indian Tourist Board. The longest running service being the US Embassy, Visa Information Service, now, in its 19th year of operation.

A keen sportsman Jamie has played cricket, hockey and rugby.He has coached his son’s age group at Beaconsfield Rugby Club for 10 years and over the last 13 years has been a Buckinghamshire County Referee, an ARA Rowing Coach and holds an RYA Yacht Day Skipper Certificate.His other hobbies include skiing, following many sports and pottery.

Paul also started his management career in the Royal Navy and after 22 years left to take up various Project Management roles. These covered the implementation of IT Projects working for avariety of clients inlcuding Socttish Power, More Than, Thus, Oxfam and Age Concern. 

Having worked with AcumenEdge in the past he joined the Events Team in late 2008 to assist with the Project Management of the International Mini Rugby Series 2009.

Paul is marrried and is a keen dog walker. As a follower of many sports he also takes an active interest in Music Events and Festivals going back over 20 years.
