AcumenEdge believes the process of prospecting is very similar across all industries and vertical sectors. The target markets will be different, but the process is the same.

  • Establish who is the target market or markets
  • Build or purchase a basic database of prospective customers chosen by SIC code, vertical sector,company turnover or geographical location.
  • Start the commincations process
  • Find the name and other data of the key target individual using telemarketing, and internet searches.
  • Communicate with that individual-direct mail or email introduction or cold telephone call.
  • Follow up with further telephone calls and required information to ascertain prospect's suitability for the clients product and services.
  • Introduce the products or services
  • Gain an answer as to whether they have a requirement for the product or service either now or later.
  • If later arrange further telephone calls or exchange of data and information
  • If now and when now,close the deal and service your new customer.

The key is having qualifed a prospect to then keep communicating with them until they make a decision either way. This is known as Prospect Database management and the methods used in a regular ongoing programme is called Direct Marketing.
