AcumenEdge carries out Direct Marketing programmes for a variety of mainly SME clients, but we have done projects for much larger organisations. We set up direct marketing programmes for our clients usually providing telemarketing, mailshots, emailshots, market research and fulfilment of brochure information when required. In most projects, we manage a database of our clients prospective customers.Projects vary in duration but can be anywhere from 4 months to a number of years.

As a sales manager for AcumenEdge you will need to build a pipeline of prospects, and close those prospects so they become customers. Each year you will need to close approximately 25 new clients per annum. You may need to travel and meet a variety of clients throughout the UK. The client's project will then be implemented by the Client Account Manager.

You must have done at least one sales role and be able to demonstrate success in that role. You must be familiar with the SME market but not necessarily have worked in that area although it would be advantageous. Computer literacy especially in MS Office is required as are good presentation skills. The ability to work the required hours, an entrepreneurial spirit, a can do and flexible attitude are necessary as you will be a key part of a small but successful marketing operation. 

Remuneration is dependant upon performance and is a mix of an increasing salary and bonus scheme.As an experienced sales person we would expect you to be earning £30,000 to £40,000 in year one and over £50,000 in year two. However, there is no ceiling to your earning potential .
